Among the many cryptic passages in the Pokémon Box chapter is an “explanation” of the author to his imaginary Froakie companion that Fabergé carvings were popular and that the British royal family had a large collection of Fabergé items. I wanted to look into this more and see if there was anything interesting, fully acknowledging that I have not been spending a lot of time on this box. Maybe I’ll miss some potential connections!
